About LATdx
Who we are
LATdx is built by Andrii Solokh at Nebulity, LLC, an independent software studio making developer tools for the Salesforce ecosystem.
It is a small team. When you email support, you reach the person who wrote the code.
Why LATdx exists
Apex test suites grow faster than the changes made against them. A four-line edit triggers a full-suite run, and the developer waits - often for tens of minutes, sometimes hours - to learn that nothing they touched was affected.
The obvious fix is to run fewer tests. The reason teams do not is that every shortcut so far has required trusting a guess. Skipping a test that should have run means shipping a break to production, which costs far more than the time saved. Salesforce now ships its own answer to this, the RunRelevantTests deployment test level; we wrote up how it works and where it differs from what we do.
LATdx exists to tie each reused test result to a fingerprint of what the test depends on, rather than to a guess. It parses your Apex into a dependency graph, fingerprints what each test statically reaches, and reuses a stored result only while that fingerprint is unchanged. The exact guarantee and its limits are on the security page.
An earlier version of this work tried to run Apex locally, simulating the platform outside the org. That approach hit fidelity limits that could not be closed honestly: a local simulation that disagrees with the real org is worse than no tool at all. LATdx runs your tests on the real org and caches the real results instead.
How we think about trust
A test-result cache is only useful if a cached PASS is worth as much as a fresh one. That makes cache correctness the product, not a feature of it. We treat any report of a cached PASS that should have been a rerun as the highest-severity class of bug.
What LATdx can and cannot see is documented in full on the security page. Your Apex source, org records, and Salesforce credentials never reach our servers.
